Job Description:
Aspire is collaborating with a ground-breaking educational provider catering to 8-18-year-old pupils with Special Educational Needs in Stottesdon. This specialized school offers personalized education for a maximum of 12 pupils with profound needs, encompassing learning disabilities, associated health issues, and challenging behaviours.

The students, hailing from diverse backgrounds, share Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH), often accompanied by other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) like Autism, ADHD, and communication challenges. Operating as a trauma and attachment-informed organization, we equip all staff with extensive therapeutic training and support.

Our school adopts a closely integrated approach, placing the child at the core of decision-making. This collaboration involves education and therapy professionals, parents/carers, local authority teams, and, crucially, our students, working together to achieve exceptional outcomes.

The position entails full-time employment, with potential for permanent placement for suitable candidates.

Role Summary:
Teaching Assistants at our institution recognize the dynamic nature of their work and the unique needs of each child. They serve as vital figures capable of supporting students with intricate and demanding behaviour’s.

Key Responsibilities:

Support teaching and learning
Engage with students individually or in small groups
Manage classroom resources
Facilitate educational outings
Provide lunchtime support for socially challenged students
Possess foundational English and Math skills
Ensure safety during heightened behavioural episodes
Develop social skills through games and activities
