We are seeking a Research Operations Officer to join a leading London University on an interim contract. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the smooth operation of research activities within our institution. The role will have a focus on pre-award grant management and general research administration.
Position: Interim Research Operations Officer
Location: London (flexible hybrid working)
Duration: 2-3 months
Salary: £37,000 - £42,000 (paid on an hourly rate equivalent
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist researchers with grant applications, including costings, budget preparation and compliance
* Coordinate with academics for grant submissions
* Maintain accurate records related to research projects
* Prepare meeting agendas and record minutes for research-related committees, facilitating communication between committee members
* Coordinate logistics for research events including travel arrangements, venue booking, and promotional activities
* Assist with postgraduate student-related tasks, focussing on requesting and compiling information
* Project related administration
* Research excellence framework support
Experience Required:
* At least 1 years’ in pre-award research services
* Higher Education experience
* Knowledge of Worktribe or similar grant management systems
