Job Description:
A long-established property and construction consultancy are looking for an ambitious Building Surveyor to lead the development of a new Building Surveying team, in their Worcester office.
The Building Surveyor role
The Building Surveyor will play a crucial role in establishing and expanding the Building Surveying services, focusing on a diverse range of projects including commercial, office, retail, healthcare, and industrial sectors across Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, and Bristol.
This position offers a unique blend of autonomy and flexibility, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and leave a lasting impact on the consultancy and its clients.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead the development and growth of the Building Surveying team within the Worcester office.
* Play a strategic role in business development, identifying new opportunities and fostering strong client relationships.
* Oversee project management, from initial consultation through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
* Provide expert advice on a range of Building Surveying services, including technical due diligence, condition surveys, defect analysis, and planned maintenance.
The Building Surveyor
* Proven experience in Building Surveying, with a strong track record of managing diverse projects.
* MRICS qualification is preferred but not essential, depending on experience.
* Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
* Strong client-facing and communication skills, with a focus on developing client relationships.
* A strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities and drive the expansion of the Building Surveying services.
* Flexible and adaptable approach, with the willingness to take on challenges and adapt to changing project requirements.
