Job Description:
Energy Operations and Maintenance Technician
Benefits will include 27 days holiday plus Bank holidays pension contribution of 10% from the employer , 8% from you. Van, working houses are 8am – 4pm.
,hours are 8am - 4pm.

Call out will be 1- 4 stating in January.

for on call you will receive £150 standby per week

Time and half after working hours and double time after Midnight.

Saturday time and half up to midnight and Sunday double time. Van

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Energy Operations and Maintenance Technician to join our growing team and help us operate and maintain our plant and network.
The role

As an Energy Operations and Maintenance Technician, you will report to the Energy Operations Manager and work as a key member of the energy team. You will be responsible for:
Carrying out and/or ensuring operational inspections and maintenance routines are carried out on our assets, including mechanical, electrical, and building management systems

Carrying out reactive maintenance and plant improvement projects as required by plant priorities

Liaising with contractors and suppliers to complete work safely and efficiently

Administering and reviewing Joblogic for historical trend and reliability analysis and maintaining accurate inventories

Providing out of core hours call out cover for customers when necessary

Undertaking root cause analysis on component failures and generating and implementing modifications and improvements to address reliability and performance issues

Providing cost estimates and capital requests for improvement projects

Participating in capital projects at all stages of implementation through to commissioning, including pre-delivery inspections and installation of new plant

Performing against job specific standard operating procedures and supporting the improvement of the integrated management system

Any other reasonable tasks requested by the Energy Operations Manager

Working towards becoming an authorised engineer under our safety rules

The person

To be successful in this role, you will need:
A relevant qualification in engineering, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical 

Experience in operation and maintenance of energy systems, such as boilers, pumps, valves, pipework, heat interface units, etc.

Knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental standards and regulations

Ability to produce risk assessments and method statements

Ability to carry out plant isolations and HV switching (following training)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A positive and proactive attitude

A willingness to learn new skills and take on more responsibilities as the role grows
